Note: If you have problems and would like more instructions,
click on your desktop and go to "Mac OS Help" under the
"Help" menu in the toolbar. Then type in "appearance
control panel" and click on "changing the way your computer
looks." background."

1. Click on the dimensions you would like for image you want to save.
This will launch a new browser window.
2. Click on the new browser window, go to the file menu in the
toolbar and choose "Save As... ." Select the directory where
you want to save the image (Netscape users: choose "Source"
for "Format:" in the pull-down menu of the dialog box) and click
"Save."
3. From the Apple menu in the upper left corner of your toolbar,
go to the control panel and choose "Desktop Pictures" or "Desktop
Patterns" control panel.
4. In the "Desktop Pictures" or "Desktop Patterns"
control panel, click on the small "Picture" icon on the
left. Click "Select Picture..." and go to where you downloaded
the "pic" picture file. (If you do not see "Select Picture..."
then click "Remove Picture" first). On the bottom, select the
scroll bar that reads "Position Automatically" and change it
to "Center on Screen." Click on "Set Desktop" and
take a look at your new desktop!

4. In the "Appearance" control
panel, click on the "Desktop" tab and then the "Place Picture"
button and navigate to where you downloaded the "pic" image
file. (If you do not see "Select Picture..." then click "Remove
Picture" first). On the bottom, select the scroll bar that reads
"Position Automatically" and change it to "Center on Screen."
Click on "Set Desktop" and take a look at your new desktop!
